Rena is a board-certified Adult Gerontology Nurse Practitioner, with additional training in functional medicine and women’s health. She has a vast array of experience including urgent care, cardiac care, med-surg and primary care.

She holds a Bachelor's and Master's degrees from the University of Providence, and has been helping patients define and realize their best health for more than fifteen years!!

Rena started Health in Her Hands after seeing first-hand how traditional medical practices shortchange patients by focusing on simple protocols and algorithms designed to maximize revenue, rather than taking the time to assess the whole person and to dive deeply into the root causes of dysfunction.
